Fabulous base for a family weekend
We arrived early on the Friday, Rob was happy for us to check in slightly early.
He was polite and helpful. They had a cancellation in another flat and offered us to change to a different flat which was available. He wanted us to be happy with the accommodation as we had a 2 year old with us. He made us aware of balcony's and stairs etc which could have been a risk for our son, but we were confident that with appropriate supervision he would be fine. We accepted the upgrade to the top floor duplex apartment, which comes with stunning views across the bay. (Thanks Rob!)
Everything was clean and tidy, plenty of kitchen facilities available including dishwasher, washer/dryer and full sized fridge/freezer. Milk and cereal was present on our arrival which was a nice touch. Dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc provided too making our stay get off to a smooth start. The only item in the kitchen which was not of good standard was the can opener which was broken, other than that the kitchen facilities were excellent. Although we did not need it ourselves we even noticed a highchair in the storage cupboard which is great if you have younger children. The flat has underfloor heating which is controlled in each room, we personally found it very warm, and ended up turning heating down, and opening windows, which allowed us to enjoy the sound of the gulls across the bay. Our son loved looking out of the balcony doors at the boats, and once he was in bed in the evening we opened up the doors (we kept them locked in the day for safety)
Overall the accommodation was exactly what we needed. We chose this as an alternative to a hotel as once our son was in bed we could still enjoy the rest of the flat rather than sitting quietly on the bed trying not to wake him up. Overall an excellent stay, in accommodation with a good quality finish. We would stay again and recommend to our friends.
