Great service but poor quality accomodation

We arrived at the Talbot to a really warm welcome and during our stay, staff were friendly and gave superb service, however...

the beds in our room were extremely uncomfortable and you could feel the springs through the matress. The whole building, had character which was great but definitely needed a make over- woodchip wallpaper should be a thing of the past!!
