lovely place to stay

probably had the best nights sleep I've ever had in any hotel, the house is very rural, so there was no buzz of traffic, aeroplanes or people to keep me awake.

I ended up arriving later than anticipated, and the owner Catherine actually bothered herself to phone me and make sure I wasn't lost. Breakfast could be ready from 6.30 onwards which is very helpful to site workers like myself, unfortunately, I had to leave earlier than that, so couldn't comment on the food, but the menu left in the room was very comprehensive. absolutely lovely place to be, thanks Catherine.

Eggs and amenities

A lot of thought has been put into the amenities provided in the room -- those in the bathroom are the best I've seen with toothbrush and razor sets.

The eggs for breakfast were very tasty and the menu appealing. It's not the easiest place to find in the dark, but satnav did a good job (for once) and it was worth the effort.
