About the hotel
Birchleigh is the ideal place to stay for bed & breakfast with a view to exploring all that Grange and the surrounding area has to offer, whether you are walking, cycling or just taking it easy. Birchleigh Guest house is situated in the centre of Grange over Sands. Grange is from the French “Graunge” which means granary.

Nearby is the village of Cartmel with its shops and 11th century Priory. Horse racing takes place here at the May and August bank holidays. Many attractions take place during the year, Holker Hall Garden Festival,Cumbria Steam Gathering,Dales and Lakes Historic Vehicle Show, Grange Edwardian weekend and weekly brass band concerts in the bandstand park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found our hosts friendly and helpful.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very well run. The breakfasts were a joy. The whole experience was lovely and if we are ever back in the area this is the place we will seek to stay. We have nothing negative to say.
A brief but enjoyable stay
A comfortable room with all the facilities we needed for a short stay.
The breakfast was everything you could want and set us up nicely for the rest of the day. Thank you.
