About the hotel

The Tal y Don Hotel is situated in the middle of the small seaside town of Barmouth in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, and is just a 2 minute walk from the main beach and 3 minutes from the picturesque harbour. It is an ideal place to book a room for bed and breakfast, have lunch or an evening meal, or visit for a drink in the evening. We have 5 individually styled en-suite bedrooms, and we accommodate guests with dogs. The hotel bar has a fine selection of cask conditioned ales and premium lagers with an extensive range of single malt whiskies, spirits and wines.

Friendly pub in centre of town

Overall we really enjoyed our stay - we had a large twin room on front of pub looking out onto Barmouth shops.

Welsh breakfast was the best we've ever had and it's served until 10 a.m. which is better than some B and B's Bedroom was well-furnished - shower in ensuite needed attention though it did work. Plenty of free toiletries etc. One night there was music playing in the bar downstairs until midnight which kept us awake, but that was an exception - we weren't bothered by it on other nights. Would recommend if you want to be in the heart of Barmouth and sea front.
