About the hotel
The sun is shining, the tide is in, and the dolphins (something New Quay is famous for) are jumping and playing in Cardigan Bay. You walk into our spectacularly located pub, which is both homely and contemporary, where you will be greeted by our friendly and attentive staff. This is the classic Penwig experience; one that is not complete without sampling our food which is home-cooked and prepared in our kitchen from locally sourced ingredients.
Eat, enjoy a real ale, and take in the amazing views across Cardigan Bay. The hotel offers six double rooms and a family cottage. Three of the rooms in particular have stunning sea views, and there is free wi-fi as well as limited car parking. The Penwig is ideally placed as a base for walking the coastline, blue flag beaches, Cardigan Island Coastal farm park, Devil's Bridge, the Llywernog silver-lead mine and Cenarth Falls. Late October break
My wife and I have stayed here before and weren't disappointed again.
We always book the superior double room (No 7). You have the top floor at the front with three windows over looking the Harbour, a clean comfortable double bed a lounge area and a dinning table and chairs. The bed room part has deviding doors the other area and the sofa is a bed settee., so you can have a child in the room with you during your stay (Check with Hotel). Breakfast is included and along with the pub food is excellent.
So if you want a place to chill with views this is a great place to start. Highly recommend.
Lovely location and very useful car park Room slightly disappointing as understood all rooms had a sea view but room 1 only has a partial side view of the sea - more a chimney view really however the room was the cheaper of the ones available but I didn't realise it was because of this until we arrived The room was nicely decorated though although the shower room was tiny
Staff all lovely and very good breakfast
