About the hotel

The sun is shining, the tide is in, and the dolphins (something New Quay is famous for) are jumping and playing in Cardigan Bay. You walk into our spectacularly located pub, which is both homely and contemporary, where you will be greeted by our friendly and attentive staff. This is the classic Penwig experience; one that is not complete without sampling our food which is home-cooked and prepared in our kitchen from locally sourced ingredients.

Eat, enjoy a real ale, and take in the amazing views across Cardigan Bay. The hotel offers six double rooms and a family cottage. Three of the rooms in particular have stunning sea views, and there is free wi-fi as well as limited car parking. The Penwig is ideally placed as a base for walking the coastline, blue flag beaches, Cardigan Island Coastal farm park, Devil's Bridge, the Llywernog silver-lead mine and Cenarth Falls. Definitely would stay again!

We had room 7, what can I say the sea views were fantastic!!.

The room was just lovely and the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful. It was a busy restaurant and outside tables overlooked the sea but didn't go on too late so didn't disturb our sleep which was a surprise as it is always a risk when booking a room on the sea front. Food was really good and we ate there for most of our stay!!. Looking forward to our next stay, already looking at the calender!!.

An amazing surprise, and one that I WILL return to......soon...

This was intended as a stopover on the way to Bluestonem which turned out to be the jewel in the crown of our holiday.

Amazing room, amazing food, and service well above and beyond what anyone would expect for the money. All ibvo5lved at the Penwig should be very proud.
