Cheap and cheerful
The room was small, clean and bright.
I was glad to be able to get a room for just one night on the bank holiday weekend for Tour de Yorkshire. The owners were very friendly and did their best of the space they have for guests to park on drive. I booked the room before my plans for the weekend were shaped up but this was accommodated, such as cancellation of breakfast for one of us, leaving luggage and being able to come back and change after checking out.
They had genuine interest was in making sure we did what we planned on doing including making sure we were parked in right place to be away early in the morning for the amateur sportive. You don't get this interest in big hotel chains without booking in advance and paying for it. Good old fashioned values.
Slightly disappointing small rear bedroom top floor
The room was too small, television channels not all was working, car parking too cramped, not good value for money.
