About the hotel
This lovely one bedroom self catering garden apartment has been restored into a glamorous, chic but modern pad, with a strong theme of New York and old movie stars. Refurbished in a black and white colour scheme with splashes of yellow, to simulate the yellow taxis of `The Big Apple`. The apartment has its own entrance with a lovely lawned garden which overlooks the picturesque Valley Gardens.
There is a steep path with steps upto the apartment from the main road. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk to Scarborough town centre. Please note: The car parking available directly outside the apartment is pay and display. It is the guests own responsibility to pay for this. Parking discs, scratch cards and alternative parking may be made available on check in but this is not a guarantee.

loved going back to this wee gem of a flat.
very clean, great location, handy for all your needs. it,s a bit hilly walking back from seafront but thats scarborough. all in i would recommend to anyone looking for value for money
Shabby and dirty.
The accommodation was in a good position but that really is all it has going for it.
We were shocked after seeing the photo's at just how tatty and dirty it really was. The duvet had red wine ( at least I hope that's what it was) stains on it. The paper was peeling off the doors (yes, the doors are wall papered to give the NY effect!) and the back of the wardrobe was hanging off. There is no mirror at all in the bathroom but holes where it should have been. Then the kitchen..... Well, we didn't eat there after touching door handles and work tops which were sticky and grimy with the last persons breadcrumbs still on the chopping board. The sink still had the splashes on from a previous occupant, and there were cup rings on the worktops so it obviously hadn't been cleaned at all. On the up side there is a top class feather duster hanging on the bedroom door for you to do it yourself. The cobwebs were easy to find. The only door to the apartment had no door handle on the inside and as it was sticking badly, we had to improvise with a wire coat hanger to allow it to be opened. I took loads of pics to back up these claims and had intended to make a complaint but seeing the responses on the owners hotel website to complaints, I won't bother. I accept it's the end of the season and maybe fixtures and fitting will be a bit tired and worn, but there is no excuse for this level of lack of cleanliness. For £70 a night accommodation only, it was disgusting.
