All bedrooms are very comfortable (one ground floor) and have full en-suite bathrooms, hospitality trays, radio, TV/DVD telephones and trouser press and fridges. There are two spacious lounges with wood - burners and a beautiful balcony where guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside in this haven for birds and all kinds of wildlife, including the beautiful red kite.
Just a short stroll along the lane takes you to the 'Three Wells Country Farm' where you can enjoy the lake, there is a footpath which leads you through beautiful countryside to the village of Howey. Acorn Court is an ideal location for walking and exploring. Llandrindod Wells offers indoor and outdoor bowing. There are 2 Golf courses nearby. Lots of parking space.
There are many nice places to eat... Just half a mile away in Howey there is the Laughing Dog Inn and The Drovers Thai Restaurant. In Llandrindod Wells there several incl. Jules Restaurant & Wine Bar, Spencers Brasserie & In Llanyre just 3 miles away there is the Bell Country Inn which serves excellent food.
We are just 5 miles from the Royal Welsh showground at Builth Wells, where they hold many events throughout the year.
Just 10 miles away there is the beautiful Elan Valley and the lovely market town of Rhayader. It is also home to Gigrin Farm and the fabulous Red Kite Feeding Centre. Or maybe you would like to step back in time and visit the Judges Lodging at Presteigne. We are lucky to have The Hall at Abbey-Cwm-hir- a truly unique property- especially good to visit around Christmas time. Every June Newtown hosts the Gregynog Music Festival of classical concerts. Enjoy a memorable dayout A little further away at Powis Castle, Welshpool with its spetacular gardens.
The famous town of Hay-on-Wye with its many book shops is just 25 miles and in early June every year is the Hay Festival of Literature and at the end of June they have their food festival, yummy!. If you come and stay at the beginning of August perhaps you would like to visit Brecon Jazz festival which is under an hours drive from us, Or step back in time in Llandrindod Wells when the annual Victorian Festival comes to town during the last week of August.
If you enjoy walking you will be spoilt for choice, with the famous Offa's Dyke, Glyndwr's Way or the tranquil Wye Valley Walk all of these routes and many more are nearby. There are also excellent trails for mountain biking and a great selection of bridle paths throughout mid Wales. Perhaps you would like to have a go at mountainboarding or abseiling in the Brecon Beacons, well its all here and more!! If you fancy something really unusual come and visit Llanwrtyd Wells - where they have Bog Snorkling Championships & the annual 'Man versus Horse' race.
