Not too bad for the money
The biggest reason for going for this acomodation was the location as this sat within reasonable distance from my business location.
There was no reception but the instructions for the key and entertaining the room was given over the phone. The room was clean and spacious, I also went for the ensuite room for convenience, which was again clean and was fine. The customer service was good, I didn't have a microwave which i requested and was provided on the following day. The shaving socket didn't work in the bathroom but I resorted for a razor instead in the end. The room walls are not quite solid enough so be prepared for some level of distraction especially from people being on the phone at night. Also the location is next to the Stepping Hill hospital so there were quite a few ambulance sirens through the night.
Overall I would say it's an ok experience for the money.
Very good value for money
I booked this room only to stay overnight and it was a fairly good experience.
I received a free upgrade from a single room I booked to a double-bed room with its own sink, plates, bowls, cutlery, a small fridge, an electric kettle, a small old-style CRT TV and some wardrobe space to hang your clothes in. The room was very clean and tidy, with towels provided and the TV in the room was connected to a Sky box, which I found nice. The continental breakfast was stored in the fridge and consisted of some white rolls, 2 packets of cereal (Rice Krispies), a small bottle of milk, a selection of jams in single-portion pots (about 4, plus one flavour of jam in a tiny single-portion jar) and I think some butter and some other stuff. There was a shared toilet and a bathroom upstairs, with a fairly spacious shower that had an independent tap for controlling water temperature. Free WiFi access was also provided, which I found very useful. The only things that could be improved were the food and the bathroom lock (a minor problem), but I didn't mind either of them.
Overall excellent value for money and I would certainly stay again and recommend it to a friend for an overnight stay.
