Last minute booking but great hotel within walking distance of the centre

Having travelled to Amsterdam by ferry which took 22hrs due to bad weather, we decided to fly back and book a hotel overnight.

This was the cheapest at £92, not bad for a sat night, last minute and valentines weekend. A short walk from the centre, the hotel is in a quiet area. If was very welcoming and free tea/coffee in the reception area. It was a flying visit for us but would Definately stay here again. Staff were extremely helpful and even let us use the computer and printer to check in online :) rooms were modern, well equipped with tea and coffee facilities. Comfy bed with small bathroom but perfect for what we needed. We got an extra day to see Amsterdam, left our bags at the hotel in a luggage room and ended valentines weekend perfectly :)

Good, clean and well located hotel for couples staying in Amsterdam

the first night we were put in room 002 and it was extremely loud- reception above so staff walking about nearly all night kept us awake throughout.

kitchen and dining room next door to our room so trollies being wheeled past from 6 am kept disturbing us. the room was in the basement so windows were at pavement level which meant pedestrians and traffic were very noisy too. when we booked in the reception staff warned us that the room was noisy but said there were no alternative rooms. after the first night they did move us and it made for a more pleasurable stay. rooms were basic, but clean and modern. english tv channels a bonus. as long as you are not put in the basement i would recommend this hotel. well located too- 15 minute walk from the centre which means its very accessible but not too close to the hustle and bustle of the late night life. didnt eat here so cannot comment on food.
