Staff very good, room not quite as good
Had a good nights sleep and but couldn't shower in the morning.
There was no pressure on the hot water. I mentioned this to reception on checking out so that they could try and resolve it for the next customer. The receptionist was apologetic, offered me another room to shower and eventually gave me a £20 discount which I didn't ask for. These things happen, so I'm not going to hold the shower against them and the staff did everything they could be expected to do. It actually looked a good hotel with a nice lounge, restaurant area etc. But as a business traveller all I want is a bed for the night, TV, WIFI, Shower and breakfast. I couldn't watch the TV properly as it was quite snowy, use the internet properly and breakfast wasn't until 7:30 so I couldn't wait. Strangely I would recommend it, but perhaps not for a business traveller who needed to get on the road early in the morning.
Relaxed & friendly establishment
We stayed overnight twic in one week.
Both rooms were clean & comfortable and the showers were hot & efficient. The food was good, the menu interesting & flexible in that no one objected to us ordering 2 starters instead of a main course. The bar staff were very attentive & friendly.
