A seriously bad experience....

I booked a room for six nights and only ended up staying two due to noise issues.

The walls are wafer thin and you can clearly hear whats going on in the next room. On my first night, I had three hours sleep due to people coming in drunk, making noise and shouting, one guest tried to kick a door down as he had lost his key. I then tried to book out on Sunday morning and get a refund which the hotel owner refused. I was assured that a change or rooms would resolve the issue. I was then woken up at 1:15 am in my new room on Monday morning by a party which was going on in the room below (unbelievably arranged by the hotel!!). Another night with only three hours sleep. The hotel owner attended the room at 3:30 am and said that the noise was 'acceptable' and again refused to refund the remaining four nights which I had paid for. So, I could not face another night and left the next morning £120 out of pocket. The owner is certainly more interested in making money than keeping customers. The reviews on Laterooms do not do this place justice and this is the first time I have felt the need to leave a review in order to warn potential future tenants. I later found reviews on a certain site that are more reflective of what you will find during your stay (not sure if i can mention the site but its T***Advisor.... you get the picture!). Really though, if you plan on getting some sleep then keep looking!!
