Weekend break in Brecon Beacons

A nice hotel located in a small town that is ideally situated for exploring the Brecon Beacons.

The room we stayed in was clean and tidy with a good bathroom. Wifi in the room was very good. Breakfast was good with locally sourced produce. Also ate in the evenings and the food was equally good. Stayed with my wife to do a little walking and would recommend it as a base for exploring the area.

Good value accommodation with excellent food

We stayed for 1 night on a short walking break to the Brecon Beacons and the hotel met our needs exactly.

We had a superior room which was large room with a comfy bed and a separate sitting/TV area. We ate in the restaurant in the evening - food was very tasty and generous portion sizes and washed down with perfectly acceptable real ale from the bar. Breakfast was excellent, particularly the locally produced bacon and the scambled eggs which many hotels overcook. The hotel owner was chatty and very pleasant. The decor is a bit tired in places and could possibly do with a refresh, but given the price paid we had no complaints and would stay again on a future trip.
