About the hotel

Llety Teifi is a relaxed family run Boutique style Guest House accommodation in Cardigan just off the main High Street, near the town but away from the hustle of town life. A newly converted Grade II, elegant Georgian town house. We aim to provide Cardigan with its premier boutique accommodation.

The house dates back to 1880 and is an important part of the local history, originally built for David Davies, wine and spirit merchant who donated Cardigans clock and later lived in the governor’s house. Llety Teifi is the ideal place to stay whilst exploring this beautiful part of Cardigan Bay and Mid Wales. Start your day with a Welsh breakfast in the conservatory, where a fine selection of meals are served on selected evenings – being from an agricultural background its an important ethos for the family to use fresh local produce from traceable sources. We have limited parking for our guests in front of the house but we are able to use another car park near by the house for any overspill. We endeavour to provide all our guests with excellent, luxurious facilities in a friendly and comfortable environment, whether it’s a business trip or a well earned break we would like to extend to you a very warm welcome.

A tight fit

It was quite a tight fit to get into the room as the table was immediately in front of the door.

The door had to be opened fully to allow access. The lobby from the main door, which led to the shower room and bedroom, seemed superfluous, housing just a chair with no obvious use. Would it be possible, at not too great an expense, to put in a partition in the lobby in line with the wall behind the table and wardrobe, in which could be fitted the lockable door, providing access to the room and the shower. It may be that the wall containing the door to the bedroom is load bearing, in which case my suggestion would not be possible. However, if this piece of wall could be removed, I feel that it would not only make for easy access to the room, but would also provide greater room space. I took the liberty of tightening the base fixing of the lavatory roll holder, as this was in an imminent state of collapse. I did not tighten the wing nuts holding the lavatory seat, but I am sure that this is something that a handyman would be able to do in just a few moments.
