Park View Guest House
It was a really good place to stay for a group (we had the 5 bed family room).
Customer service was fab and a lovely breakfast. My only comment is that the shower wasn't very powerful so washing your hair took a while but apart from that it was a lovely place to stay.
Very hospitable hosts
My partner and I stayed recently at Park View and found it similar to other B and Bs in the area, in that it is noisy at weekends, predominately Saturday due to ambulance noise and police cars.
The hospital is on the next road so this added to it. The hosts were very friendly and available with their presence at reception in the small dining room. There is a very small and tight car parking area so we had to park on the road which is a zoned area and you risk being towed away. The beds were comfy. I had booked a double room 6 weeks ago, only to be e mailed a couple of days before arriving to be asked if a twin room was ok. I agreed the twin but found the room very cramped and the bathroom so small and tight, I had trouble getting in and out of the shower stall due to the very small hand basin right next to it. The shower head needed a jolly good clean too. The room was obviously catering for visitors bringing take always back to the room as there was a table and chairs with water jug, glasses and wine glasses which I found handy. The breakfasts were acceptable as they were freshly cooked when ordered with the usual fruit juice and cereals. I know this is a reasonably priced B and B during the week, but on a Saturday it is £80 and for that I expect decent toast if nothing else.
We probably will not return due to small size of room and en suite and not quite good enough food quality at breakfast, but I am an admitted fussy eater and could not see any others unhappy with food presented.
