Stayed on a Saturday night and went for the King room with river view, very nice room, adjustable heating so as warm or cool as you want, had a great breakfast and found all the staff very pleasant, would definitely stay again
Quite a limited menu which didn't change over 3 days, could do with one or two specials
Felt let down
I was given a room which was literally brand new, wasnt cleaned at all as there was still dust from plasterboard all over the place and the smell of paint.
I went to the restaurant for something quick to eat and was told there wasn't enough tables and asked what i'd be likely to be having. I said i'd probably go for the steak and was told that it would take a long time to which i replied 10-12 minutes. The AC/Heating in the room didn't work and there was a portable heater which made a loud constant noise as well as burning smell. When i went to check out i wasn't even asked how my stay was as i'd have said all the above. I preferred to use the stairs as the lift took twice as long and this is fine in daylight however after dark there is no lighting at all in the stairwell and no emergency lighting.
Place is slightly dated but rooms good and food excellent.
All staff I met were pleasant and helpful. A lot cheaper than staying in Edinburgh so worth the drive over the bridge. Views are stunning too.
Definitely Recommend! stayed in room 109 on 7/3/15
When we first arrived in the car park I thought it seemed a bit too quiet and not alot of people about, but that was obviously because we arrived half an hour before check in time.
When we got to our room, our view wasn't the best as we had a room facing the rear of the hotel, but that didn't bother us as we aren't that bothered about the view from hotel rooms. After we dumped our bags in the room we went down to the bar, as soon as we got to the bar the bar tender was asking us what we would like and even suggesting different drinks because my girlfriend couldn't decide. We sat down on the sofas to be greeted with an amazing view of the forth road bridge. We then decided to have a bite to eat and seen as it was before 5pm we got the 2 for £20 deal where you get 2 mains and 2 drinks for £20. I went with the steak burger and my girlfriend went with the haddock, we definitely couldn't fault the food or the service. The breakfast buffet was also amazing.
Place was fantastic with great scenery.
Very nice hotel.
Had a great stay. Ideal location.
Hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful and food and drink were reasonably priced.
The hotel was lovely - very clean and the staff were very friendly.
The room was very big and spacious and the bathroom was a proper wet room although I had only asked for a walk in type shower but I was very grateful of this as I have poor mobility. The staff in the bar and restaurant very very friendly and the food was really nice with a good selection. The bar prices were very reasonable for a hotel. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. Very well situated for Edinburgh.
Queensferry Hotel DBB
Lovely stay at the Queensferry Hotel - spacious, clean room (The King deluxe) and quiet even with two wedding receptions being held.
An excellent meal and very reasonably priced drinks. Only real negative was the lift not working from the entrance hall to reception area...being disabled and on crutches this made it rather awkward but otherwise a great night out and would recommend (already have) and will stay here again.
