Great accommodation, food and friendly helpful staff
I found my single room was warm, clean and better equipped than most including complementary bottle of mineral water and an iron. The decoration and fittings were very tasteful and the included full English breakfast was excellent. Based on my experience I would recommend Culane House Hotel to anyone.

Home from Home
We have just returned from a three night stay at the Culane House Hotel in Edinburgh. The hotel and its staff were excellent and we were given a smart, comfortable room overlooking the local park. The hotel is situated on a busy bus route, which makes travelling around the city easy, take advantage of the day ticket, which costs a reasonable £3.50 per person. The staff were friendly and extremely informative about the various attractions and the buses required to get there. There is plenty of choice for breakfast (including a generous cooked breakfast), more than enough to see you through a tough day discovering the beautiful city of Edinburgh.

A great place to stay.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - they were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and cosy. Ideal place to stay, within walking distance for Princes Street, the castle, Golden Mile etc. Excellent value for money. Thank you Culane

The staff were excellent particularly the night porter. Overall the room was very well furnished and well equipped. The en-suite was small and the shower was odd in that the head was fixed in a way that the water hit you straight in the face.

The hotel was acceptable, but there was no Scottish hearty welcome and lacked anything to do with Scotland, not even a Scottish breakfast, the staff were friendly but we were disappointed with the lack of Scottish feeling.

November mid-week break
Excellent stay in a good location, Leith, close to the waterfront, with top-class restaurants and really good foodie old-world pubs. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the room somewhat small, but well appointed and immaculate. However, the star attraction is the staff; pleasant, helpful and obviously trying their hardest to make the stay enjoyable. Highly recommendable.
