Clean but basic
Very basic room with tea and coffee facilities only problem is small size of rooms and ours seemed to have a list.
Excellent budget hotel
Friendly helpful staff, rooms always clean, full kitchen is a bonus if your on a budget, Tesco about a mile away if you want to cook your own meals, excellent food in The Beancross or Brewers Fayre a short walk away
Nothing like on picture
I was not aware that rooms are so cramped fitted with double bed plus bunk bed.
Shares toilets and showers. Nothing like on picture. The room was very dirty, carpet has not seen Hoover for days/weeks, I spotted the stains on douvet although cover seemed clear. I won't be going back for sure.
Practical comfortable budget accommodation.
It is all you could ask for a budget room.
Bed was clean and reasonably comfortable. Room is Spartan but all that is required is present. I missed having a kettle in the room for a hot beverage and I failed to get even warm water from the basins mixer tap but no hardship. TV & freeview remotes available from reception and easy enough to use. Drinks dispenser and vending machine in reception, bit pricy. Free wifi login provided at check in. Auto clean showers and WC is high and awkward to enter plus rather narrow, especially with waste bin placed behind the door so not for the larger visitor. That said they are clean and well maintained. Not overly keen on having to travel in public corridor to shower or visit the w.c.
Would I go back, most certainly as very central and convenient for my needs; pity about the road noise from the M9 but not sufficient to keep me awake.
Cheap-osh, Basic and Noisy
I chose this hotel as on the website it said that it was pet friendly.
Ths was not the case when I arrived. Not happy about this as it was freezing outside and leaving a dog in the car would not be an option. The room was very basic. It was next to the fire door which was left open, thus allowing all the noise to travel down the corridor. The night staff were very noisy, talking loudly, and people stomping up and down the corridor left me with only 2 hours sleep. The beds were to hard so it felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The smell of cigarette smoke also wafted down the corridor.
I would not go back to this place nor recommend it as although it was clean - that was the only good point. I need sleep - and that was denied
We had an en-suite room.
The room itself was very small, no chairs to sit on, TV very large. En-suite very close to the bed and the sink was so high I had to stand on tip toe to wash. The shower would not switch off on the first night when the staff finally turned it off it meant no more shower. The bed was uncomfortable, springs sticking up. Not a very good stay.
Metro Inns Falkirk
Central location for Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Clean and comfortable accommodation with no frills.
Booking direct with Mary was a positive experience where she went to great lengths to ensure a perfect stay. Great value for money and Hotel staff equally as friendly and eager to please. Will most certainly recommend Late Rooms and Metro Inn to family and friends.
Man at reception very helpful very good value for money
All what you need
The room was very simple but definitely sufficient.
There was a bed, a huuuuuge TV and tea / coffee facilities, although there was no space left in the room, it was fine. We booked en-suite so we basically got a shower with a toilet in it next to our bed, but for the price it was definitely good value for money. Perfect for everyone who wants a bed for the night and nothing more. The only negative thing is that it was very difficult to find, there are no signs at the roadside and no further descriptions on their website. Navigation system also couldn't help so we had to ask for the way at the hotel on the opposite side of the street.
Short motoring break
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel.
The room was basic, clean and fine for a one night stay. It was dearer than my last stay. I paid £33 this time for my single room and only £25 per night for a triple room the last time
