Tiny attic rooms, radiator fell off wall
I'm a pretty tolerant traveller...
This hotel has seen better days and the room was claustrophobic and very tired. Bed awful - small and saggy. Paper thin walls, so I could hear snorers in rooms next door - I expect that from a $1 hostel in Thailand, not the UK. It might be a big chain, but Premier Inn wins over these chains every day. I'm ashamed at the standard of 3-4 star UK hotels - they all need to know it's not the 1980s (or '50s!) - old beds, cracks, mould, longlife juice, caked-on scrambled egg made with milk like it's the war, grumpy service ('sir'. 'madam'. would be nice). No plugs by the bed either - modern day essential!
