One of the cheaper hotels in Falkirk
Budget accomodation compared with the price of other places, so expectations were not particularly high.
Room was OK, very hot - radiator was on full on arrival. One of the pillows was very dirty, not been changed since a few guests by the loooks of it. Beds have seen better days. Tea/Coffee facilities, TV and enough space for the 2 of us. On arirval, no staff on reception, went into the bar, nobody there, ended up waiting over 15 minutes to get the key, which was frustrating as we were already late for our function. Doors slam very loudly so you can get disturbed by other guests. Lift and corridors smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Not an easy hotel to navigate with mobiity problems as we had to go up stairs, then in a small lift and through some heavy fire doors to our room. Parking was free on site which was good. Places close by to get food. If we happen to ever visit Falkirk again would probably stay purely based on price & central location as the next cheapest hotel we found was 3.5 miles out and £20 more expensive.
Stayed there two nights room very basic.
very little toilet paper and as no maid service. was no toilet paper next day. waste paper bin hadn't been emptied before we arrived and had a leaking bathroom tap. was no soap of any type and to move TV to use mirror so wasn't the best of stays. when getting car out of car park u had to have a mobile phone to call for the barrier to open, was no instructions how to get out if no phone.
