About the hotel

The Linton Hotel was originally called The Golden Lion Hotel (detailed in 1835 by a local minister) then changed its name to The Red Lion and again to The Bridgend (1980’s) and is now known as The Linton. No matter the name the welcome is always guaranteed to be warm and friendly. Situated on the edge of the River Tyne within the beautiful historical village of East Linton, The Linton Hotel is ideal for a those wishing to enjoy the local area.

We take a great deal of care to ensure that your visit, no matter how short, is one to be enjoyed and remembered for some time to come. The biggest compliment anyone can pay us is to be confident in recommending The Linton to friends, family and colleagues and to, of course, come back to visit again.

Excellent Overnight Stay

Travelling to the Noroth of Scotland so needed an overnight stay.

The Linton ticked all the boxes. Only reason I gave the Room a 5 was because the Toilet / Shower Room was very small. It was fine for the purpose but just a bit small. The propritor and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definately stay here again. Also, the hotel is real close the the main line into Edinburgh, which I've noted fr the future.
