This was a one night stay, arrived at 8pm and left at 8am the next day.
The owner was there to greet me checked me in. The room was spacious, clean and very well kept. The decor was modern but with a classic feel.
Great owners made this a very pleasant stay
I travelled to Edinburgh ahead of a job interview which I was very nervous about.
The welcome I received from the owners of The Beverley was exceptional and ranks as one of the best I have ever experienced.
After making sure I was settled in properly and furnished with all the relevant travel information I needed I was offered the opportunity to pick from a selection of DVDs to unwind in my room if I so wished (a nice touch). In the morning I was offered the use of an ironing board to make sure I was smartly dressed for my interview. Whilst this is something that may be expected in most hotels, B & Bs etc. it is not often provided with a smile. But The Beverley were all too happy to provide this service to me - no grumbles. Just prompt service with a smile. I was even able to leave some bags behind after I checked out so I didn't arrive at my interview laden with baggage. I was given a key which allowed me to return to The Beverley to collect my belongings afterwards. Again, this small gesture meant a lot as it meant I had one less thing to worry about on the day. Whilst the room was comfortable, if somewhat basic, and the continental breakfast not was extensive as other places I have visted, my stay was all that it needed to be for a 'budget' £50. The Beverley was, overall, a very nice B & B and one which I have no hesitation in recommending. The owners were polite, welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely visit again.
