Hotel is perfectly located just 10 min walk from the castle it is also situated in a quiet place so we slept very well.
Staff were friendly. Room spacious (we booked deluxe double room). It is perfect fort short stay city break. The only negative thing was that WiFi wasn't working.
The stay here was incredibly disappointing and quite possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
There was a lot of noise throughout the night, there was a wedding reception occurring which can understandably cause noise, however, the noise that kept us awake was in the early hours. The shower had a seat in it which wasn't a seat that we required however, it made it impossible to have a shower standing up. The sanitary bin, which was full of soiled nappies had not been emptied for what must have been a considerable amount of time which consequently made the bathroom smell awful.
Early in the morning, the cleaner stood outside the door and had a five minute conversation with another college about where they would like linen to be placed.
When broaching all these issues with the receptionist, her reason for this service, was that it a LateRooms booking which caused us to have this room and the poor facilities. I have never found this to be the case using LateRooms and I do not feel this was a professional, appropriate or acceptable excuse.
