About the hotel

This hotel is located in Barcelona's Ciutat Vella district, next to the ancient Teatro Colon. Guests have excellent public transport options close by, with two metro lines found 300 m from the hotel. The establishment's innovative design and modern facilities are spread over 5 floors.

Guests have a choice of 92 rooms in total. There is a terrace on the top floor where guests can relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the port of Barcelona, the Columbus monument and the mountain of Tibidabo. Conference facilities and Internet access are available for business travellers. The rooms include sleeping, resting and bathing areas in a single space, avoiding the normal room divisions of a classic hotel room. The shower is located on the facade, giving the room a lot more light and space than usual.

Awful - I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The service was appalling.

I was very disappointed with my stay here.

Firstly, upon arrival (midnight) the concierge (Marcelo) informed us that they hadn't received confirmation from late rooms so we could not have a room. Marcelo himself was extremely rude and unhelpful. He did not offer to help or contact late rooms, so we had to call and put him on the phone. A phone call that lasted 40 minutes so the phone bill will not leave us worse off. Instead of offering any alternatives, Marcelo left us waiting 2 hours (until 2am) until he decided the room would be OK, after 2 hours of confirmation from late rooms. Secondly, we were not informed about anything in the hotel. No wifi code or check out time or anything. Overall we booked this hotel for our final night in Barcelona as something special and the appalling service and poor communication completely ruined it for us. I have never met someone as rude as Marcelo and I have no intentions of returning. The service was dreadful and we lost hours of sleep and lots of stress due to this.

Very nice hotel, although no air conditiining!

Very pleasant stay.

Lovely room with great showet. However at night is was hard to sleep as there is no air conditioning so too hot!
