Adamton Country House Hotel
Building work was being done at the hotel, but in did't Impact are stay.
Just no, don't do it.
Adamton Country House Hotel
Hotel was under staffed always people waiting at reception at the bar in the dining area.
The rooms were small(in the annexe)but to be fair they were clean and the beds were clean, just feel with some hard work and money the place could be spectacular.
Upon arrival a family were complaining, bad start.
Got to our room and had to fight with handle and key to get door to open. Once in we found the curtains hanging off, the TV had 1 channel , no phone in the room and only 1 bedside lamp. Top of the chest of drawers was marked where people had placed hot cups. The whole room was just not nice but, the bed was clean so we put up with it as we were only there for 1 night. Didn't entertain breakfast in the morning .
the window was open when I got to the room, it had been raining and the window sill and carpet near the window was wet through, the window would not close properly (the catch was bent) the bathroom was not cleaned properly there was soap scum on the soap holder and taps, toilet seat needed wiping I'm hoping it was splashing from the sink.
the sealant around the 1970's avocado bath was very badly done and the grout was black in parts. there is building work going on hopefully they will sort out the dated rooms. couldn't get a bill as the systems were down but they did email me with it later
although its not a vat receipt like I asked for, I sent an email back asking for a VAT receipt and I am still waiting a day later
Nice hotel but could be better
The hotel itself was in a beautiful setting however a little dated.
there was a lot of building work on the site. However no issues with the room which was clean and bright. The tv in the room wasn't working but that was due to the remote needing batteries which the receptionist sorted for us. The breakfast wasn't great at all though. food was cold which was a shame. However I would go back.
great value hideaway
Stayed here a few times never disapointed
Excellent, very friendly and helpful staff.
Room was spotless and very comfortable. Will certain use this hotel again, and recommend it to anyone.
We stayed here on our way to fly out of prestwick.
A pretty dire start to my second only holiday abroad in 18 years. The staff were pleasant, however the room [probably because it was cheap] was very basic - outdated decor etc, but clean enough. We went into breakfast near the end of service, which shouldn't make a difference, the food was a buffet.. help yourself, it was disgusting everything over cooked, the eggs you couldn't even cut through - more rubbery than I know how to cook them myself and floating in oil.. the bacon curled cardboard... they did offer a car park service which was great - leaving the car there safely for a week. On our return we did stay there again as not much choice but without breakfast, Staff again very amiable and having arrived several hours late due to flight delays [5am] they held the cleaner's off our room so that we could get some sleep, which was great . If I had to yes would stay there again, but definitely not eat there!
Stayed the night before flying on holiday
Booked this hotel as we were flying out at 6.30am.
We had difficulty finding the hotel even with our Sat Nav. Once we arrived the receptionist gave us instructions where to park our car but it was not very clear. The room numbers on each floor are non existing and again we had trouble finding our room. Room was very basic and walls very thin.
