Holiday Inn Express LONDON - EARL'S COURT
Stayed for 2 nights to go to Wimbledon.
Hotel was in a fairly convenient location (5 mins walk to West Brompton tube) & there was nothing about our stay that we were unhappy with (apart from the England football result which wasn't the hotel's fault!). Rooms were fairly spacious, clean & comfortable, air con worked well & there was excellent sound proofing - we were on 3rd floor & there was no road noise. Free Wi-Fi throughout. Breakfast was nice enough, plenty of juice, cereals, fruit & pastries. Limited selection of hot food but included scrambled eggs, meat or veggie sausages & beans so wasn't bad. We found the reception staff very friendly & helpful. Hotel has a bar but no restaurant but there are a number of take-away options & the hotel reception were happy to order food for you to eat in the bar area which we did on one night. Not a great surrounding area - mainly takeaways & convenience stores but we found a lovely little Italian restaurant just 2 mins walk (Porcini) which had great food & was good value & there were a few pubs within a few mins walk (we watched the football at The Goose). Overall a good mid-budget hotel, conveniently located for local amenities & district line tube & only a few stops to Southfields for visiting Wimbledon. Would stay again.
Brilliant location with a very short walk to District line & easy access to the attractions.
Staff very helpful & welcoming and useful parking.
