Much better than I expected
I have never stayed in a Travelodge before but a train strike forced it on this occasion.
Aware that the brand is considered 'budget' and 'no frills' I didn't expect luxury but was pleasantly surprised. A huge climate controlled room (only missing a bench for my suitcase) with en-suite bath, very comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a comfortable guest lounge where I was able to relax after checking out until my late afternoon flight.
If you're just looking for a clean bed and nothing else, then this is great.
Room was clean, bed comfy, but I could hear everything in the corridor as if it was in my room.
No extras at all, no wardrobe, fridge nothing apart from the bed and the tv. But for £43 it's a bed for the night.
