Room was clean, however it was a little rough around the edges, with skirting missing in the bathroom etc.

we had a nice view of on old shower screen from the window. There was also no soap provided on the bathroom. The shower was also very hot, too hot to stand under and didn't seem to change temperature much no matter what settings you tried. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

good for our needs

We wished to stay for a night near the National History Museum in South Kensington.

This hotel did the job for us. I appreciated the fact that we could use a kitchen with microwave to heat meal and keep food in fridge. There is a small supermarket not far so that helps to keep expenses as low as possible in an expensive city like London. The absence of parking was a problem we had not thought beforehand though. ON a plus side, it was great to get some little coupons for discount in museums. The receptionists were very helpful.
