Purley Downs Golf Club and 5 other golf clubs are within 2 miles of the apartments. Gatwick Airport is a 25-minute drive away.

Number 23 - Purley Place Apartments
The entry was simple enough when you knew it, but arriving for the first time, I had to phone to clarify.
The entry was from a side door that I suspect was supposed to be Shabby Chic, but in a residential Road it just achieved shabby !!. Having mastered the entry system I had a look around.
The first impression was an unfortunate one - a background sewer like odour (I bought a can of air freshener and "masked" the problem). The Apartment was larger than I anticipated and seemed to be a two bedroomed semi detached house - and far more spacious than expected consisting of : Kitchen/Diner, Lounge with stairs to a landing area that led to a fair sized bedroom with a double bed, a large single bedroom with bunk bed suitable for two children and a family bathroom . The bed appeared new and the Duvet cover, Pillowcases and Sheets appeared freshly laundered and ironed (however when I settled down to sleep there was the occasional off-putting waft of BO that wasn't mine !!). In places the carpets were so worn that they had frayed to cause a tripping hazard, other areas of carpets had bad stains. I opened the kitchen window blinds to look out and found the window was open - when I went to shut it, the handle came off in my hand. The rear outlook is of an overgrown patio and a grassed area with shrubs that has all gone wild. It could be lovely with a bit of attention as could the rest of the property.
