Excellent service; very friendly staff
Hotel could do with a refurb, but the staff are very friendly and courteous.
Showing its age but decent overall I give 3.5 stars
A clean good sized room with everything working but décor tired and carpet stained.
The staff were friendly and efficient except in respect of the main lounge bar which was regularly 'abandoned' necessitating me having to chase for service three times over two days. Breakfast good except over cooked poached eggs (a common hotel kitchen problem though). The hotel was built in 1992 and is showing its age but it is well located for road and rail travel to London or elsewhere notwithstanding that the immediate locality is not of itself a tourist choice (I know the area very well). Hilton Main Board need to get their arse into gear and spend a bit of refurbishment money.
