As a regular business traveller on a budget you come across the odd gem.
I really enjoyed this well run small hotel. The single room was ideal fro a nights stay and had the added advantage of good WiFi (free) and a nice little iPad charger on the dresser.
I chose an uneventful meal, but more elegant fare was available in a imaginatively decorated dining area. The food was good and the service was well informed and efficient. The only slight fault came with my morning shower, the shower head had clearly been re sighted several times. The new angle meant that you could only stand underneath it if you where three foot high and stood on the taps. A small gripe that did not marr my enjoyment of this great hotel.
Ok but could be better
Stayed overnight on a Saturday - hotel and room very presentable but shower weak and walls very thin - was awakened at 1am by a neighbour playing the radio until 2.30am (presumably an insomniac as it was mostly talk radio) which spoiled the stay.
Had front room and could also hear traffic quite a lot
Mixed bag really but breakfast was excellent and staff friendly and helpful
