About the hotel
Bedruthan Hotel and Spa is a multi award-winning hotel with stunning ocean views across the Atlantic, as well as North Cornwall's breathtaking coastline. The spa has spectacular sea views, a deep and luxurious spa pool, a cedar sauna, eucalyptus steam room and lavender caldarium. Other leisure facilities include a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, games room and a resident surf instructor.
The hotel has a new cafe and restaurant that opened in Spring 2012. Wild Café is colourful and funky in design whilst the food is surprisingly sophisticated café restaurant fare - a mixture of colourful tapas and hearty favourite native dishes inspired by our food heros - from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall to Yotam Ottolenghi. The Herring is our more sophisticated food offering, with restaurant design that is as inspiring as the food. The rooms are light, bright, contemporary and simple to reflect the hotel's architecture and beachside setting. Large comfortable beds, soft white towels, armchairs to relax in and all the facilities you would expect to find in an AA four star hotel. The family-owned hotel is situated between Newquay and Padstow. Walking distance to Mawgan Porth beach and close to Merlin Golf Club and Driving Range.

Bedruthan Hotel & Spa
Fine hotel with a lovely spa and pool.
Ace breakfast and charming helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. Good environmental record. Lovely art exhibitions and good design in a rather weird old building (??was it a holiday camp before??) . Views to die for from the seaward side of the building (tho our room had the carpark!). Straight on to the coast path for lovely walks up towards padstow. Wonderful customised cocktails to drink whilst you watch the sunset over the beach. There were a few things I would have expected to find in a hotel like this...eg bathrobes and slippers and the tea making stuff was inadequate. Main problem is that this is very much a family oriented hotel so if you don't have kids and don't want to hear pitter patter of tiny feet you're far better off staying at the sister hotel the scarlet across the bay. Great for families tho.
work hard to afford this typeof break
What a very pleasant experience, from start to finish,I went with my wife for a spa break at the end of an activity holiday and boy did I save the best till last. From arriving early and being told very politely that our room was not quite ready but we were more then welcome to use the facilities in the hotel. To booking out it was a pleasure to hand over my hard earned cash.3 small gripes which are constructive criticism, the cobwebs behind the curtains were off putting. The barman that kept me waiting at the bar while he was out the back chatting to a staff member.reporting a bag that had been left in the bar and then reporting it again 30 minutes later because it was not dealt with.
