OK if all you want is a cheap bed
Tiny, poorly decorated and poorly maintained room.
The shampoo and shower gel containers ;had a thick scum of mould on them. The in-room coffee was so bad that I couldn't drink it. Bearable for one night as it was cheap but we couldn't have stayed for two.
Boreland Lodge Hotel
The travel directions given were not at all clear which led to us wasting time finding the hotel at the end of a long journey.
Although the hotel was fine for an overnight stay I would not like to be based there for a week's holiday; especially as they did not provide an evening meal. I thought it was quite expensive given that breakfast was extra, albeit it only £5 for a continental breakfast.
