Very Tired and Expensive. Didn't get the 4 poster bed
Lodge is very tired and grubby, wouldn't go there again.
Price for room was very expensive, room was very worn and dated, towels were old and grey and I didn't want to look what was under the horrible colour sheet and matching duvet cover. Big black mark on side of sheet, looked horrid. Holes in very old carpet when you walked up the stairs and room door only locked on key, no secondary lock. Parking was advertised, but only 4 spaces outside the building and all of area has double yellow lines or you couldn't park in front of dropped kerbs. Window to room overlooked a flat roof and handle was missing on one of the openers, so no security.. Got there at 9pm and left by 630 am, so no I didn't enjoy the experience. Only good point, was that you had large mugs for coffee and plenty of sachets of Nescafe.
We had x2 rooms = 3 adults, I shared a room, x1 double and x1 single, sink in the bedroom, shower and toilet on suite (small but usable).
As the title implies no frills, but clean, and just what we needed somewhere to sleep and shower. Okay so a bit of decorating new carpet matching pillowcases etc, may be a problem to some but for the price and the fact we just wanted to sleep and use the shower on a 3 night stay, totally fine and would recommend and we all agreed we would use again.
