Obviously once a grand hotel, now worn and dated.

A lot of complaints at front desk, while I were enquiring why the room we were given still had cleaning in progress (door wedged open, no bed sheets etc). Still eventually got it sorted. I am ok with the dated bit, the urine stains on the pipes around the toilet should be cleaned though, obvously not for a long time as thick dust too. I enjoyed the stay though because it was quite and felt family friendly, nice bar in lobby with cheap beer. Would stay again just clean a little better. Rooms dated but more than adequate.

Bank Holiday At The Savoy Blackpool

This was the first time we have stayed at the Savoy but it won't be the last.

This Britannia Hotel is of a good standard and we had a large clean sea view room. We normally stay at the Metropole but decided to have a change and think this one is better. There is also a regular bus service with a stop right in front of the hotel to the town centre which takes about five minutes.( Free bus passes used several times).

However we do have a complaint as no clean towels were left for us on the Sunday (even though one dirty one was removed).

Also with the windows open the noise from the old 'vintage' (clapped out) trams passing by was too loud but we assume these are only used on Bank Holidays and the new trams are much quieter.
