The hotel needs a lot of money spent on it living on the name...
I have stayed at the Savoy before, and I will stay there again.
I like the place. The only comments I have are concerning the firmness of the single bed's mattress (so hard!) and the creaky floorboards - not just in my room but also from the room above.
