The hotel is situated in a lovely building and area but it just needs renovation.

The hotel grounds are nice as is the main hotel building and all the staff were pleasant.

Breakfast was nice but we had a late dinner on the first night and it was a bit of a disappointment as it lacked flavour. The hotel just basically needs an entire revamp, lots of silly things in the room are broken, tired or have been hastily fixed. Having said all that our room was warm, clean and comfortable so it was fine for me. My partner used the spa service that is located near the hotel and was very complimentary about the place and treatment. The other spa facilities were good, the pool, hot tub and steam room. All in all a pleasant place to stay to explore the area if you're happy to over look minor things.

Stayed for 1 night to break trip back from Shropshire and pleasantly surprised.

Very large bedroom and large comfortable bed. Very pleasant staff. Enjoyed eating in the restaurant but a bit expensive. Freshly cooked breakfast was lovely with beautiful views over the golf course from the conservatory. Didn't have opportunity to try out the pool but it looked good.
