Staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous.

Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Rooms were clean and tidy but dated. Could not see the TV from the armchair as the angle could not be adjusted so I had to watch football sitting in bed. General hotel furnishings a little dated now. Shower could do with a pump as the pressure was very low.

Lovely Hotel - Will Stay Again!

We really enjoyed our stay here on Valentines Day.

We liked the room décor, had lovely cushions and was lovely to stay in a room with some "Personality" instead of a bog standard Travelodge like hotel. The breakfast the next day was lovely. lots of toast, fresh croissants, & lots to choose from. We was especially happy with the full English breakfast. Overall very happy. Just a few pitfalls which haven't affected my review:

When we arrived we realised there was a valentines dinner on that night & we was starving. Unfortunately they was fully booked, however it would've been ideal if they kept the bar & grill tables available for us to eat in there instead of the restaurant. But instead they was all reserved for the valentines dinner in the restaurant. We had to get a pizza takeaway instead. That wasn't a problem for us, but we'd have preferred to eat in the hotel.
