Sunny weekend away

Service in the main restaurant was a bit disorganised, but otherwise it was very good.

It's a shame that it's not possible to have anything to eat on the main rear terrace before 4pm on a Sunday. I think this should be reviewed.

The building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained.

Does what it says on the tin

Like a design timewarp from the 80s, and seemingly furnished by a blind person from a DFS sale.

Nonetheless, our cottage in the old stables was very sweet and comfortable. If booking for self-catering bring all your own kitchen equipment as there are only the bare minimum of absolute basics. The staff are beyond charming and helpful and were the cherry on the icing of our stay. Do be warned that the cottages are too far to walk for the infirm from the main house with the main restaurant etc. (we drove).
