Very charming bed and breakfast
Lovely slightly quirky accommodation.
Hosts exceptionally friendly. Room very nice but steep stairs so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Only down side was lack of parking outside house.
Wouldn't stay again! :-(
Booked on line no problem, but when I arrived (on my own, in the freezing cold & with my bags) no one was there.
Called, but rang & went to voicemail. Left message asking for someone to call me back. 2 hours later, no response. Called throughout, but kept going straight to voicemail. Went back again & couple were sitting in front room watching TV.
I said that I had knocked on door, telephoned & left messages & he just grunted that he hadnt checked the internet (or the phone apparently?!). Showed me to room which was so small that you couldn't see the TV from the bed because it was mounted above a wardrobe. The bin was full of rubbish & the duvet so stained, it showed through the linen.
The bathroom was upstairs & the smelt very damp. The room & bathroom were very cold despite the heating being on.
No where to park, so had to be up at 7:30 to go and put money on the car at 8am (pay machine wouldn't let you do it before). Totally ruined the reason to stay away and get a break. Totally ignored by man again in the morning.
Needless to say, I won't be going back!
