Stayed here overnight saturday, check in was great and friendly, room was very nice but as stated previously in reviews bathroom was in serious need of updating.
Room cosy and bed and pillows very comfy. Loved the reception rooms and fireplaces and nice touch with the piper, not sure if you do this every week as mentioned before, incredibly difficult to get coffee and toast at breakfast. had to go and tap waiter on shoulder after every single guest who sat down after us got served before we did. As this has been mentioned in previous reviews there is no excuse for this. overall a decent stay.
Not all it seems
Dining staff not interested, got the feeling we were a hindrance.
I can only assume the Hotel is trying to cater for the American visitor market due to the décor & condition. Disappointed as it looked superb on the website/internet.
