About the hotel
The Awel Môr is a large victorian terraced house with accommodation set over four floors. Situated directly on the sea front in the delightful seaside town of Criccieth the Awel Mor is to the west of Criccieth Castle and looks directly over Cardigan Bay, to Harlech Castle and to the mountains beyond. We offer a range of relaxing en-suite rooms (8 rooms in total), with some having spectacular sea views.
Our south facing Guest Lounge is an ideal place to sit and read the newspapers or to chat to friends old and new. Whether you chose the healthy or hearty option, we offer a good quality breakfast using local produce in our comfortable dining room; the perfect way to start the day. The town centre with its variety of small shops, pubs and excellent restaurants is but a short stroll from the Awel Môr as is the historic castle. We are ideally situated for touring the Lleyn Peninsula, exploring the surrounding coastal villages, visiting the famous Portmeirion and riding the Ffestiniog or Welsh Highland Railways, to name but a few . The Snowdonia National Park is just a short drive away making it a superb location for walkers, climbers, cyclists, families and the many other outdoor enthusiasts.

A lovely seaside hotel in an excellent position on the seafront.
Owner very friendly & welcoming. Breakfast superb - the full English was excellent. Room was very clean & comfortable. The bar area which you have to go through for breakfast was a little drab - requires a little attention to bring up to the standard of the rest of the hotel.
