Tired in some respects but fantastic people and wonderful food
With one exception the staff at the Navigator where absolutely superb and make up for any shortcomings in the building.
My comments for improvement were 4 minor issues; pillows are rock hard, shower was feeble, the signposting to the upstairs rooms (18-23) was rubbish and the staff should show you to your room if you are upstairs or get much better signage and the TV could not have been smaller, these days 32 inch TVs are peanuts, please invest. Lastly the staff. Again brilliant although when I returned to get the book I left at breakfast (it was waiting for me, thank you) the receptionist didn't even look up when she was on the phone, no acknowledgement, no I will be with you in a minute, just left me waiting like a lemon before i got fed up and interrupted her to say may I have my book please which was sitting next to her right elbow. She did give it to me with no smile or acknowledgment, quite the opposite. Poor. She was the only blot on an otherwise perfect example of superb customer service. thank you.
A nice hotel with good service, quite noisy but quietened down quickly when the bar closed.
Food is expensive for the quality.
