I knew this hotel was opened by a tour group but expected better food when booking out with a group.
Evening meal and breakfast was what I would expect on a bus tour.
There was no deviation for myself travelling independently and I felt I was being catered for with the standard and choice within the package deal for the bus tour. I was disappointed.
I cannot fault the room as it was to the front with great views, the staff were great and the place spotless. The food was not to the standard and choice I like.
Externally this hotel looks splendid, beautiful setting.
Inside, traditional Scottish reception, but tired looking. Our room was dismal ... Dusty, mould on the grout in the bathroom. Seriously in need of a lick of paint . The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. I like firm bed, but this one firm like a slate floor . The pillows were like rocks. Breakfast was obviously catering for the coach market, in and out as fast as possible ... And only theirchef could make scrambled eggs taste of nothingness .
