One or two little niggles.
Overall a pleasant stay.
Couple of little niggles. One of the mattresses had collapsed on one side (where people swing to get out of bed or sit on the edge of the bed). Despite two requests to change it, it wasn't changed over the four days we stayed. Secondly, on the final morning, the hotel had run out of brown bread and packs of butter before breakfast even started - not very professional.
Good value break
We stayed for four nights as we were in Ramsey for a family funeral.
The plus points are location, it's just off the seafront next to the Mooragh Park and Ramsey town centre is 10 mins walk away over the swing bridge. Other plus points go to the staff who, without exception, were excellent, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good, I particularly liked the kippers which I had twice and my husband enhpjoyed his full English. We also had one lunch, sandwiches with soup or chips and two evenng meals. Portions are fairly large and reasonable value. The only downsides were lack of Sunday evening meals (maybe because of the time of year), cold rooms (the electric in the rooms, including heating, only works when you place your keycard in a slot in the room) and lack of daily papers in the lounge area. We were lucky to be upgraded to one of the corner suites because of a couple of problems with our original room, a lovely big room with views in two directions.
