The Cherry Tree is located in Rochford, a medieval market town, with a chequered and fascinating past. Instead of a High Street, Rochford contains one of the few remaining town cross patterns in England, comprising North, South, East and West Streets. 16th C.
Rochford Hall was once the property of Sir Thomas Boleyn, whose daughter Anne married Henry VIII. The Cherry Tree, an 18th Century Inn and modern restaurant based in the rural village of Stambridge, just 1 mile east of Rochford and 5 miles North of Southend Town Centre, Essex. Separate bar and restaurant menus offer an excellent choice of freshly prepared straightforward dishes that are all created in house using quality ingredients sourced as locally as possible. The bar at The Cherry Tree offers a warm and comfortable environment with a full range of wines and spirits. Our wines are carefully selected to compliment each of our dishes.
