Friendly helpful staff but very poor standard of accommodation and ridiculously overpriced!
All the staff were very helpful and accommodated our very early start in the morning by providing early breakfast.
However the rooms were of poor standard and not cleaned well with the sheets smelling of cigarette smoke. Rooms very very overpriced for standard of accommodation.
As I explained the room that was booked sleeps 4 and is sold by the price per room on laterooms. It is explained on the site if you wish to book lower occupancy then to contact for prices and availability. As you did not do this and booked the room for full occupancy the cost was £155.00 for the night. I did however reduce this by £20 but explained, laterooms would still
be charging their commission on full occupancy, this is due to the choice of booking you made. Your second room we gave you was £90 and slept 3 people, this was cheaper per person than you had on your booking. The room you room booked was a £90 for a double room.
I would like to thank you for mentioning how helpful staff were. We did offer to do a 5 am breakfast, you refused saying you would be fine as it was so early. You asked if we could give you some porridge for your room. We did however put a fridge in your room with yogurts , porridge, jam, butter, milk and also gave a toaster, we wanted you to get a good start on your
The smell of smoke I can’t explain as rooms were freshly made up for your arrival, smoking is prohibited everywhere in the hotel and bar, there is a designated outside smoking area. We did go in and look around, we could not smell the smoke.
I do feel that your disappointing review was more due to booking and occupancy booked than our rooms or staff.
