Cheap n cheerful

An excellent location overlooking the sea.

Good clean breakfast served in basement so no sea view there. A cheap n cheerful base which is ideal for a couple of days. No luxuries if you are staying for longer. The bar/ lounge was locked both evenings even at 8.30pm on a Saturday night!

Ancient Hotel

The dark stairway with fire doors was off-putting.

The room was ok, but none of the doors fitted properly and you could see large amounts of light coming through the door. We had to sleep with the window open, which wasn't bad because we could hear the surf, but there were people outside screaming and carrying on that woke us up. Then after midnight our noisy neighbors came in, turned the TV on loud and woke us up again. This was the noisiest place we stayed in all of UK. Nice that it was by the beach, but not our favorite.
