OK but could be a whole lot better
Nice pub in the centre of town.
We had rooms on the top floor so noise wasn't as bad as others have mentioned. Rooms have obviously been done out well a few years ago, but now need a bit of care. A good spring clean and replacing a few light bulbs and the heater in the bathroom is all that's needed to make it excellent again. Large cooked breakfast, well served. Would personally prefer a bit less and some local produce.
Overall not bad value but would probably not choose to stay here again.
Very comfortable, friendly, central Laugharne
A really well located and friendly place to stay, providing such good value for a very reasonable room rate.
We stayed for a literature festival and it is ideal, being in the town, but just a walk around the corner from the wonderful Laugharne views with the Boathouse and inspiring coast. The bar is of course what it says and on a weekend is busy and bustling. You have to expect this and we found it was not a problem. In fact , we had the most peaceful night's sleep, probably due to the laid back atmosphere and the soporific coast. The breakfasts are fresh and generous with lovely local bread.
