The Horse & Groom is loacted in the picturesque village of Milcombe near Banbury. A quiet attractive old country inn in a lovely village close to Banbury, Stratford, Chipping Norton and the Cotswolds.With golf courses and fishing within walking distance. At the front of the building is a lovely enclosed patio area surrounded by planters filled with a collection of herb plants. The traditional bar has a stone floor, seating for around 25 customers & a wood-burning stove at either end. There's a small snug with a darts throw and comfy leather sofa. At the rear of the building is a dining room which can seat upto 50 people. This area has been completely re-designed as a contemporary eating area. Historic Banbury is famed for many things, namely its cakes, the nursery rhyme “Ride a Cock Horse” and the Oxford Canal. However, as well as all this, it is a thriving town in North Oxfordshire with lots more to offer its visitors with nearby Broughton Castle providing a stunning backdrop in many films, such as “Shakespeare in Love”. If you want some retail therapy then Bicester Designer Outlet Village is just 30 minutes drive away. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PUB & DINING ROOM IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY EVENINGS.

Room Notes: Room 1 is newly refurbished to a very high standard. There's a lovely timber-beamed sleeping area and a velux window with draw-down blind. Opposite the bed is a flat-screen TV. There is an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over. There's tea & coffee making facilities, fresh milk in a flask, mineral water, ipod docking station/alarm clock & a hair dryer. This room is the quietest one in the building as it's not directly over the pub. Room 3 has a lovely view over the front of the pub. There is a large en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over. There's a TV, tea & coffee making facilities, fresh milk in a flask, mineral water, ipod docking station/alarm clock & a hair dryer. Room 4 is newly refurbished to a very high standard. The entrance area is spacious and there's a beamed wooden arch into the sleeping area. Opposite the bed is a flat-screen TV. There is a small en-suite bathroom with a shower. There's tea & coffee making facilities, fresh milk in a flask, mineral water, ipod docking station/alarm clock & a hair dryer. The window looks out over the front of the pub.
